Ira Green's second
single "Roses" will be released on February 14th, taken from Tutti
i colori dell'Ira, her third album. The song already described in the
previous weeks by the artist, speaks of an intense experience directed towards
the pain of losing a parent. The story of a troubled childhood and adolescence
told by the poignant images that Ira pulled out of the drawer of the past to
make us relive moments that we sometimes delude ourselves thinking that will
never end. Roses is the perfect description of the post-loss confusion
that marks the memories to the rhythm of this ballad entirely dedicated to the
maternal figure. If in the first single "I am your hero" a determined
and firm personality is on display, in "Roses" the
gentle soul is confirmed in that tough armor that Ira has built to defend her
sensitivity. The reference to Irish folk-rock notes, which are the origins of
Ira, make a melody worthy of the immortal Dolores O' Riodan vibrate in
the air. There are many sensations and feelings in the world, but nothing can
ever unite people like pain. Intense and constant in our lives, reminding us
that life is now.
In Roses the electric and acoustic
guitars and keyboards were recorded by Ira Green herself, the bass by Marco
Branca while the drums are played by Alessandro Longhi. The
recording of the song took place at the MBS Studios and La Casetta
Records studios in Brescia; the mix and mastering were handled by Ira
Green and MBS Studios. The video was created and produced by
Marco Branca and Ira Green.
Roses is already
available on all digital platforms via the independent label MBS; the first
single "I am your hero" and the release of the album in
December 2023 preceded the release of this second extract from the album
"Tutti i colori dell'Ira".

Ira Green was introduced to rock music through
the influence of her parents. After experimenting with different forms of
artistic expression, such as classical dance, hip hop and theatre, she overcame
her shyness by gaining experience with five local bands in Campania, before
participating in the talent show The Voice in 2015. Since then, she has played
in various Italian locations, as well as in Switzerland, Austria, France and at
the Sweden Rock Festival. She also participated as a judge at the Feminino Rock
Festival in Brazil. With three albums under his belt, "RE(be)LIGION"
(2016), "7" (2019) and “Tutti i colori dell'Ira”
(2023), Ira Green has collaborated with artists from historic groups such
as Elio and the Storie Tese and the Litfiba. The videos on the
Neapolitan rocker's channel on YouTube have reached millions of views,
including the cover of "Eye of the Tiger" (from the Rocky
soundtrack).
